Tamil Nadu government pushes for digital transactions

The Tamil Nadu government is looking to increase the adoption of digital payments at its offices and will soon accept cashless transactions. The offices will now accept payments through UPI or BHIM and will even print out Bharat QR codes when needed.

NPCI mandates features to scan BharatQR in UPI apps

The NPCI has recently mandated that all UPI applications must be able to scan BharatQR codes and respond to merchant payment requests. NPCI has currently set a deadline of April 16 for the feature updates to be enabled.

Swiggy rolls out UPI driven digital payment solutions

Swiggy has partnered with ICICI bank to roll out digital payment solutions for delivery partners. With the new partnership, Swiggy partners will be able to go to the nearest ICICI ATM branch with a Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) and money deposited would be credited to Swiggy directly.

2FA hurting subscription businesses

Subscription businesses in India are looking to shift base to Singapore, to provide a better subscription experience. India currently has requirements for 2FA on card transactions, making it harder for these businesses to collect money from customers every month.
