FreeCharge has recently added support for payments through UPI. Users of the FreeCharge Android App will now be able use all UPI payment gateway services via @freecharge UPI ID.

The latest update to WhatsApp now adds a QR code scanning feature which was missing in earlier versions. This allows users to scan any BharatQR code to directly pay merchants.

FINO payments bank rolls out Android based PoS device

FINO payments bank has introduced an Android based PoS device which will allow services such as account opening, deposits, cash withdrawals, money transfers, purchase of financial products and services, and Aadhaar-Enabled Payment Systems (AePS) at the customer’s doorstep.

MobiKwik partners with Microsoft to enable digital payment services

MobiKwik has partnered with Microsoft for powering digital payment services on Microsoft’s chat platform — Microsoft Kaizala. The partnership will enable UPI based payments on the app.

FinTech Startups lose access to Aadhaar based e-KYC

According to reports, FinTech Startups across the insurance, lending and brokering sectors are being denied access to authentication agencies for e-KYC services to verify customer details with the Aadhaar database. The move is said to have risen after the rising concern over data privacy.

RBL Bank and CreditVidya partner for Instant Employee Verification

RBL Bank has partnered with leading FinTech Firm, CreditVidya to instantly verify employment details of salaried individuals. The new partnership will help RBL accelerate the verification of employment details of salaried individuals.
